About the role:
As a Manager, Software Development your primary responsibility is to lead a cross-functional team of engineers in the design and delivery of high-quality software products. This includes overseeing day-to-day development activities, setting and tracking performance goals, and ensuring product quality and alignment with business objectives. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across product management, business analysis, DevOps, and Operations fostering transparent communication and cross-team synergy.
You’ll play a critical role in recruiting, mentoring, and developing engineering talent while ensuring adherence to Agile/Scrum methodologies. Familiarity with AI-driven technologies and their integration into product development is highly desirable, as many of our current and future initiatives increasingly leverage AI to enhance user experience, automation, and data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities:
Lead and support the engineering team in the design, development, testing, and deployment of software solutions;
Manage all phases of the software development lifecycle—from requirements gathering and coding to testing, integration, and production release;
Set individual and team performance goals, track progress, and ensure accountability;
Collaborate with product managers, analysts, DevOps, and other stakeholders to align engineering efforts with company strategy and roadmap;
Drive the implementation of best practices in software quality, code reviews, testing, and documentation;
Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and demos;
Mentor, train, and onboard new team members to build a high-performing, collaborative team culture;
Encourage innovation, particularly in applying AI technologies where appropriate to improve product capabilities or internal efficiency;
Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all deliverables.
Requirements:
At least 5 years of experience in software development, including 2+ years in a leadership or management role;
Proven experience managing Agile/Scrum teams in a dynamic, iterative development environment;
Strong understanding of software engineering principles, CI/CD, and development workflows;
Exposure to or hands-on experience with AI technologies, APIs, or machine learning integrations is a plus;
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills;
Strong leadership and team-building abilities;
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
