About The Role:

You: You are a Microsoft 365 expert. You’ve spent a minimum of 10 years talking about and writing about Microsoft solutions or closely-related cloud-based services. You clearly understand the challenges small and medium-sized businesses face with the cost and complexity of cloud-base services. You know that marketing and sales are partners and you can demonstrate how you have created, nurtured and succeeded with that partnership. You work hard and you drive measurable sales results.

You know Microsoft and other resellers and service providers like the back of your hand: what they do today and what they plan to do in the future. You also know how businesses decide what services they need and how to make purchasing decisions. Even more importantly, you understand how MSPs and other indirect resellers use Microsoft services to build their business and what they need from us to have a competitive advantage and productive margins in a very price-competitive space. For you, this isn’t guesswork. You back up strategic insights with market evidence and then use that knowledge to drive the development of positioning and messaging that resonates with buyers and empowers our sales channels to be successful.

As a matter of fact, we are a leader in providing a broad set of Microsoft services, complemented by our own UCaaS and CCaaS. In addition to reselling Microsoft Modern Work (Microsoft 365), we develop, deploy and manage our own add-on services (email security, backup, archiving, encryption, file-sharing) that enable SMBs to have more effective security and compliance options.

Our UCaaS and CCaaS services are proprietary and strategically aligned with our Microsoft 365 business.

Here’s how you fit in:

  • Provide leadership to a team of talented product marketers that focus on initiatives that drive revenue through partners and direct customers
  • Define and lead product marketing initiatives for our Microsoft 365-related services (Business Cloud Applications) by owning pipeline creation and sales results
  • Partner closely with our product, direct sales, channel sales, channel marketing and demand gen teams.
  • Attain an intimate knowledge of our customers and partners and their most pressing business challenges through research, feedback loops, and direct interactions
  • Understand the competitive landscape, and identify strategies to develop products and go to market in ways that meet our goals
  • Develop the strategic pillars of go-to-market strategy including positioning, target customers, messaging and campaign strategy, content, and growth plans
  • Drive our collateral efforts to produce compelling narratives that engage our customers at all stages of the customer lifecycle
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to compose, modify, and proofread product battle cards, product guides, landing pages, data sheets, press releases, blog posts, case studies, white papers and sales enablement materials
  • Work with Product Managers and Marketing Communications to build product positioning & messaging
  • Speak and present both internally and externally to promote the story of our product
  • Conduct regular competitive research on other providers in our industry
  • Craft customer surveys to gather data and insights
  • Collaborate with marketing operations to manage key conversion points in the marketing funnel, including email, social media, landing pages, website calls-to-action (CTAs), and lead-generating forms via A/B testing and continuous measurement of performance.
  • Measure and optimize the buyer journey as it relates to product feature adoption and usage.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS or equivalent working experience.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with significant experience (5 years or longer) in a Product Marketing role for Microsoft 365 services.
  • 10 years of experience in digital marketing, product marketing, and/or product management.
  • Adept at juggling many projects at once, working cross-functionally while never losing sight of the core message and goal behind your work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills --- there is a heavy amount of writing and presenting/selling ideas in this role. Prefer working in a collaborative, cross-team capacity. This role requires you to work across functions and departments to bring to life the product.
  • Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use data to inform all decisions.
  • Proven ability to collect and analyze data that supports our solutions in the market to buyers.
  • A deep understanding of proper messaging and PR best practices, along with a creative spark to develop innovative content that stands out among the noise.
  • Highly analytical and able to derive meaning from data through testing and optimization.
